Πέμπτο παγκόσμιο συνέδριο σιδηροδρομικών εμπορευματικών μεταφορών UIC (Ρότερνταμ 22 & 23/06/2016)

Το Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο Σιδηροδρομικών Εμπορευματικών Μεταφορών για το 2016 και το πρόγραμμα TEN-T Days θα λάβουν χώρα στο εργοστασίου Van Nelle στο Ρότερνταμ .

Το εργοστάσιο Van Nelle σχεδιάστηκε και κατασκευάστηκε στη δεκαετία του 1920 στις όχθες της διώρυγας στο Spanish Polder στη βιομηχανική ζώνη βόρειο- δυτικά του Ρότερνταμ . Το Εργοστάσιο απτελεί χαρακτηριστικό δείγμα της βιομηχανικής αρχιτεκτονικής του 20ου αιώνα , που αποτελείται από συγκρότημα κτιρίων με προσόψεις κυρίως από ατσάλι και γυαλί , και περιλαμβάνεται στον κατάλογο Παγκόσμιας Κληρονομιάς της UNESCO
